VACANCY 1) Participatory democracy expert: web-developement & community-management

Who we are:

The European Federalist Party is a pan-European political movement with members across European countries and fighting for a more democratic Europe. Its objective is to raise awareness of European solutions to local, regional and global challenges and carry on the project of a democratic Europe. At the 2014 European Parliament Elections the EFP had candidates in 6 European countries.

Your Profile:

The EFP is looking to reinforce its capacity to engage in local debates and enhance participation through a new web-based participatory tool.

The candidate will lead the development of this new participatory tool following the suggestions of the management board of the organisation. He/she will also contribute to find partners/sponsors to roll out the platform.

The candidate should have strong knowledge in web-design and web-programming and strong interest in of participatory democracy tools and in web-based community management.

More in detail the candidate should have:

– BA in Economics, International Affairs, Communication & new media, Informatics;
– Professional experience in the field of online campaigning would be considered as an asset.

Please note that the position is a part time position and would require you to work on average 8 hours a week. This position, as all the positions in the EFP, is a volunteer position, but coverage of expenses is possible.

Who we are:

At the 2014 European Parliament Elections the EFP had candidates in 6 European countries.The European Federalist Party is a pan-European political party registered in 10 European countries and fighting for a more democratic Europe. Its objective is to present candidates in all EU Member States ahead of the next European Parliament elections in 2014.

Your Profile:

In view of reinforcing our local presence, the movement is looking for capable and motivated people to extend its presence at the local level.

The person we are looking for has good managerial skills, is able to priorities and to deliver on its commitments. The person should have a keen interest in European affairs and be a convinced supporter of the process of democratisation of Europe. Earlier experience in organisations such as JEF, European Movement or U.E.F is highly appreciated. An BA degree in European affairs, economics or international relations is requested. Masters-level degree education constitutes an asset.

Please note that the position is a part time position and would require you to work on average 8 hours a week. This position, as all the positions in the EFP, is a volunteer position, but with great career development opportunities.
