“Paris, France, Europe and the whole democratic world is again attacked by terrorists. Obscurantism and violence cannot prevail. We must stand united with our brothers and sisters in the City of Light to protect our Freedom, our principles and our way of life” stressed Pietro De Matteis and Georgios Kostakos, President and vice-President of the European Federalist Party.

We mourn the dead and offer our prayers for the full recovery of those injured. Paris and France are not alone in coping with this horrific attack, which is an attack on the whole of Europe.

It is crucial that EU Heads of State and Government significantly intensify cooperation in the field of intelligence sharing in order to identify and deal with potential terrorists effectively, preventing similar events from happening again in the future, in any part of Europe. These terrorist networks are in fact cross-border as proved by the recent attacks and only a European solution can fight them effectively.

Targeted social integration programmes must be urgently put in place in order to deal with the root causes of alienation and social exclusion, which can provide fertile ground for extremist movements.

We also strongly encourage representatives of religious communities to unequivocally condemn these terrorist actions and share the responsibility of preventing them by putting in place an early-warning system to identify individuals at risk of radicalisation throughout Europe.

We demand that an enhanced European border management system, as well as a “European FBI” be put in place in order to ensure that security and mobility within the European Union can both be safeguarded.

Finally, we demand that the necessary foreign policy and defence measures are put in place in order to dismantle the so-called “Islamic State”.

L’Europe attaquée: nous devons rester unis pour protéger notre liberté! Propositions pour actions-

“Paris, la France, l’Europe et l’ensemble du monde démocratique sont de nouveau atteints par des terroristes aveugles. L’obscurantisme et la violence ne peuvent prévaloir. Nous devons rester unis avec nos frères et sœurs dans la Ville Lumière pour protéger nos liberté, nos principes et de nos mode de vie », ont souligné Pietro De Matteis et Georgios Kostakos, Président et Vice-Président du European Federalist Party.

Nous pleurons les morts et souhaitons de tout cœur le rétablissement complet des blessés. Paris et la France ne sont pas seuls à faire face à cette horrible attaque, il s’agit d’une attaque contre l’ensemble de l’Europe.

Il est crucial que les chefs d’Etat et de gouvernement de l’UE intensifient considérablement leur coopération dans le domaine de l’échange de renseignements pour identifier et traiter le cas des terroristes potentiels de manière efficace, afin de prévenir que des événements similaires ne se reproduisent plus à l’avenir, ailleurs en Europe. Ces réseaux terroristes sont en fait transfrontalier comme le prouve les récentes attaques et seule une solution européenne pourra les combattre efficacement.

Des programmes d’intégration sociale ciblés devront être mis en place d’urgence pour faire face aux causes profondes de l’aliénation et de l’exclusion sociale, qui sont un terrain fertile pour les mouvements extrémistes.

Nous encourageons fortement les représentants des communautés religieuses à condamner sans équivoque ces actes terroristes et de travailler de concert pour les empêcher en mettant en place un système d’alerte précoce, afin d’identifier, dans toute l’Europe, les individus qui risquent de se radicaliser.

Nous exigeons qu’un système de gestion commune des frontières européennes soit mis sur pied, en créant aussi un “FBI européen”, afin d’assurer que la sécurité et la mobilité au sein de l’Union européenne soient sauvegardées.

Enfin, nous exigeons que des actions efficaces de politique étrangère et de défense européennes soient mises en place, afin de démanteler la soi-disant “Etat islamique”.
