Ivan Vikalo: Ivan has been studying international relations, and economics at undergraduate level. Currently, he is studying to obtain a graduate level degree in political science, specializing in European Affairs at Lund University, Sweden. He speaks six European languages, and has lived in three EU Member States. He is the founder of the party’s Scandinavian section.

“Since I began my university studies, I have increasingly been noticing how fast our world is changing. Unfortunately, today’s European states do not have the same individual political capacities to solve political, socio-economic, and environmental issues as they once could. Only through the EU, and eventually a true federation will European states be able to compete against political giants such as the US, China, India, and to some extent Russia and Brazil.”

Co-National Coordinator Denmark: Frederik Braüner Nygaard

Frederik Braüner Nygaard is currently studying Political Science at the University of Copenhagen. Before moving to Copenhagen he studied and worked in Germany and China, and has therefore seen Europe from both the inside and outside. Frederik is the co-founder of the Danish section together with Henrik. Frederik operates in Zealand (Sjælland).

“The European people have a historical and cultural bond. Through history we have lived along side with each other, and in times of peace we have flourished. Since the European Union was built the European people have lived in peace and growth, but the changing global order is challenging this. It is time to let solidarity go beyond national borders. To make sure peace, welfare and liberty continue to be European values we must work closer together in a democratic European federation.”

Co-National Coordinator Denmark: Henrik Meilstrup

 Henrik Meilstrup is trained within the broad fields of European studies and international business communication with a focus on academic disciplines such as sociology, anthropology, political science, and public communication and management. Throughout his academic years, he has been involved in a series of EU-related projects and organisations in order to boost the sense of European identity among fellow citizens. Henrik is the co-founder of the Danish section together with Frederik. Henrik operates in Jutland (Jylland).

“I am pleased to be part of the European Federalist Party, as it is a crucial and natural step towards more European integration in favour of the people: the Europeans. I am passionate about facilitating closer ties between the EU and its citizens, and undeniably, the EU as Europe’s political dimension binds us together as Europeans through values such as democracy, liberty and human rights. The only way for peace, prosperity and a green sustainable future to prevail in Europe, we must acknowledge ourselves as one political community”
