EFP Belgium General Assembly, 27 October 2014, 18:30 hrs at Cercle des Voyageurs, Brussels

Dear EFP Members,

In accordance with the provisions of the EFP Belgium statute (attached), we would like to invite you to the first EFP Belgium General Assembly. The Assembly will take place on Monday, 27 October 2014, at 18:30 hrs at the Cercle des Voyageurs, Rue des Grands Carmes 18, Brussels 1000.

The agenda is as follows:

  1. Report by the outgoing Board on the first year of EFP Belgium, activities and accounts
  2. Lessons from the participation in the May 2014 European elections
  3. Election of new EFP Belgium Board, with enlarged composition
  4. Election of two Auditors
  5. The way forward, including strategy for the coming year(s), schedule of meetings in Belgium and participation in this year’s EFP Convention (Athens, 8-9 November 2014)
  6. Other matters

Kindly note that the right to vote and to be elected have only those EFP members who have paid their membership fees. If you have not done so, please either renew your membership online at www.federalistparty.eu before 27 October or bring 30 euros with you to the Assembly (15 euros for students, unemployed or retired persons). Those who cannot come can authorize another member to vote on their behalf via proxy vote (request it by writing to: efp.belgium@federalistparty.eu ).

Those interested in serving on the Board, in one of the existing four positions (President, Vice President, Secretary-General, Treasurer) or additional ones that may be created by decision of the General Assembly, should send their brief CVs and motivation texts (up to 250 words presenting their candidature and explaining what they can contribute to EFP Belgium) to efp.belgium@federalistparty.eu by 24 October, so that they can be circulated to all over the weekend before the General Assembly. Candidates may want to indicate which Board position they are interested in or leave it open. Those who cannot be physically present at the General Assembly can still submit candidatures and can delegate their vote to another participant using the proxy vote form mentioned above.
